Shah Alam, Thursday, 24 February 2022 – Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (“MODENAS” or “the Company”) today introduced the brand-new look for its all-time favorite entry-level scooter, Karisma 125. The first generation of the scooter was launched in August 2003, making it a milestone for MODENAS as it debuts into the scooter segment. Since then, the Karisma 125 has become one of the go-to scooter models in the market, known for its value-for-money. The Company then introduced the facelift model of Karisma 125 in 2016. Back by popular demand, MODENAS unveils an all new and improved 2022 model, Karisma 125S.

Performance

The latest Modenas Karisma 125S gets a 124.8cc, fuel-injection, 4 stroke single-cylinder engine that meets the latest Euro 4 and Energy Efficient Vehicles (EEV) standards. The scooter can produce a maximum power of 7.0 kW @ 7500 rpm and torque of 10.0 Nm @ 6000 rpm. Together with its large 5.1-litre fuel tank, this scooter will certainly provide the owner with longer fuel-efficient rides.

Cosmetics

MODENAS is offering the Karisma 125S in three colour schemes – Aqua Blue, Duchess Gold and Mystic Red. With its futuristic and sporty design, the scooter sends out an aura like no other. Matched to its brand new colour scheme, graphic designs and additional features, this scooter will be the perfect fit for your everyday- urban lifestyle. 

Technology

The front portion of the Karisma 125S gets a stylish pair of full LED headlights that comes together with daytime running lights (“DRL”). Plus, both front and rear signal of the scooter also receive an upgrade to a full LED type. Other technology upgrades on the Karisma 125S include a modern meter gauge with digital fuel level and a brand-new key system that comes with a seat opener button.

Additional Features

Designed for comfort and practicality, underneath its ergonomically designed seats, the Modenas Karisma 125S offers a sizable 14-litre under-seat compartment with an additional front twin pockets which will allow you to carry just about anything. The scooter also comes with a USB charging socket that is strategically mounted on the dashboard, allowing its rider to charge their smartphones while on-the-go. Moreover, the Karisma 125S comes equipped with stylish emergency hazard lights, that will definitely come in handy during emergency.

The recommended selling price for the 2022 Modenas Karisma 125S is RM5,397 (insurance and road tax cost excluded) and will be made available at all authorised MODENAS dealership from 24th February 2022 onwards.
