SHAH ALAM, 1 JULY 2026 – Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn. Bhd. (MODENAS), a member of the DRB-HICOM Group, has expanded its regional export presence with the introduction of the MODENAS BRUSKY 125 in Indonesia.
Manufactured by MODENAS in Malaysia and supplied to Indonesia as a Completely Built-Up (“CBU”) model, the BRUSKY 125 was introduced to Indonesian consumers at Jakarta Fair 2026, held at Jakarta International Expo (“JIExpo”) at the end of June.
The BRUSKY 125’s entry into the Indonesian market follows the model’s introduction in the Philippines in 2024 and demonstrates how the longstanding partnership between MODENAS and Kawasaki continues to create opportunities for Malaysian-manufactured motorcycles to reach regional consumers through Kawasaki’s established market operations and dealer networks.
Roslan Roskan, Chief Executive Officer of MODENAS, commented that this latest expansion is a significant step for the national motorcycle company’s regional export journey.
“The entry of the MODENAS BRUSKY 125, which will be distributed by PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia (PT KMI), is a major step for MODENA’s export strategy through our partnership with Kawasaki.
“Once again, this collaboration has opened up a pathway for MODENAS to reach consumers overseas, supported by Kawasaki’s local market knowledge, distribution capabilities and after-sales network,” he said.
The MODENAS BRUSKY 125 is available in Glorious Black for the Indonesian market.

Roslan added: “This latest development represents a further step in strengthening MODENAS as a Malaysian motorcycle manufacturer with the capability to support selected regional markets. It shows how collaboration across manufacturing, distribution and customer support can translate into practical regional market opportunities.
“Our approach is to expand progressively and responsibly, with the appropriate local sales, servicing and spare-parts support in place for customers in each market,” he said.
The BRUSKY 125 is the first scooter marketed in Indonesia by PT KMI, broadening its product offering in the country. It will oversee the model’s distribution, sales and after-sales support through Kawasaki’s dealership network across Indonesia, providing the BRUSKY 125 with an established local support structure as it enters the new market.
Pre-orders for the BRUSKY 125 were opened during Jakarta Fair 2026, with customer deliveries in Indonesia expected to begin in September 2026.
The Indonesian launch follows the successful introduction of the BRUSKY 125 in the Philippines, where more than 25,000 units have been supplied through Kawasaki Motors Philippines Corporation (KMPC) to date.
For MODENAS, the development represents a further step in strengthening its position as a Malaysian motorcycle manufacturer with the capability to support selected regional markets.
MODENAS will continue working with Kawasaki to assess suitable opportunities for regional market expansion while maintaining a measured approach based on market requirements, distribution readiness and customer-support capabilities.
