SEMENYIH, 17 May
2026 ā MODENAS, through Kawasaki Malaysia,
successfully held the Kawasaki Velocity Weekend Riding Camp at Beranang
Horizon Circuit, Semenyih, bringing together Kawasaki riders and selected
members of the media for a full-day structured riding experience.
Held from 9.00am to
5.00pm, the programme was designed to provide riders with practical
exposure to track-riding fundamentals in a controlled circuit environment. The
initiative also supports Kawasaki Malaysiaās ongoing effort to cultivate a
stronger community of responsible track users, particularly among Kawasaki
Ninja and Z model owners.
Throughout the
session, participants and members of the media took part in guided riding
activities that included safety briefing, track preparation, riding posture,
vision control, body positioning, braking techniques, cornering approach and
practical on-track riding sessions.
All motorcycles used
on the track during the programme were Kawasaki models, giving participants and
media attendees the opportunity to experience the brand in a structured,
practical and performance-oriented setting.
All
motorcycles used during the session were Kawasaki models, providing
participants with a complete Kawasaki riding experience in a controlled circuit
environment.
The session was
conducted with trainers from iRide Academy, also known as i-RIDE,
a motorcycle coaching school in Malaysia focused on rider safety and skill
development across different experience levels. The training approach was based
on structured coaching fundamentals, including elements commonly associated
with rider confidence-building such as cornering, braking technique, body
control and safer track-riding habits.
Beyond the riding
activity itself, the Kawasaki Velocity Weekend Riding Camp serves as a platform
to encourage better riding awareness, improved machine control and stronger
rider confidence. It also creates an opportunity for Kawasaki owners to connect
with fellow riders, trainers, partners and the wider Kawasaki community.
As part of Kawasaki
Malaysiaās commitment to making structured rider development more accessible to
its community, participants are able to join the programme at a subsidised fee
of RM300. This is significantly lower than the estimated full value of a
one-day professional rider training course, which may cost up to RM1,500.
Through this initiative, Kawasaki Malaysia aims to ensure more owners can
benefit from proper coaching without having to bear the full cost of training.
The programme forms part of Kawasaki
Malaysiaās wider effort to go beyond product ownership by offering riders
meaningful brand experiences that combine education, safety awareness,
community engagement and responsible performance riding.

remarks and programme briefing session at the Kawasaki Velocity Weekend Riding
Camp.
āProgrammes such as
the Kawasaki Velocity Weekend Riding Camp allow us to engage with riders in a
more purposeful way. It is not only about riding on track, but also about
helping owners understand their motorcycles better, improve their skills, and
experience the Kawasaki brand in a safe and structured environment,ā said Husaini
Johari, PR Representative for MODENAS on behalf of Kawasaki Malaysia.
Selected members of
the media were also invited to experience the session first-hand, allowing them
to better understand the purpose, structure and value of the riding camp before
future sessions are introduced to more Kawasaki owners.

Moving forward,
Kawasaki owners will be able to participate in upcoming riding camp sessions at
the subsidised participation fee, making structured track coaching and guided
riding fundamentals more accessible to the community.
The programme was also
supported by key partners who contributed to the overall riding experience. LEXIN
Malaysia supported the session as intercom partner, providing communication
devices for selected media to experience during the programme. Michelin
Tyres also supported the riding camp as tyre partner, further strengthening
the overall track-riding environment for participants.

To support rider
readiness, the organiser provided riding gear assistance, subject to size
availability, while Kawasaki provided motorcycles for the media riding
sessions. Participants were guided throughout the programme to ensure the
experience remained structured, safe and suitable for riders seeking to improve
their riding fundamentals.

building a more connected motorcycle community in Malaysia, while supporting
initiatives that contribute positively to the countryās mobility ecosystem
through meaningful brand experiences for motorcycle owners nationwide.
