Made with Malaysian ingenuity and engineering, these zero-emission scooters will join the parade lineup, marking a significant leap toward national sustainable mobility.

This year’s appearance is especially meaningful for us, as MODENAS celebrates its 30th Anniversary, three decades of shaping Malaysia’s two-wheeler landscape, from the iconic Kriss 110 to today’s cutting-edge MEV electric series. The milestone also comes on the heels of our major rebranding initiative in 2024, a transformation designed to refresh our identity and better position the company for the next phase of growth, innovation, and regional expansion.

Spotlight on MEV-1 Pro & MEV-2

Launched earlier this year at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, the MEV-1 Pro brings serious capability: 6.6 hp, 258 Nm of torque, a top cruising speed of 85 km/h, and a commendable 135 km range. It rides on dual ATL lithium batteries (60 V, 45 Ah), each fully charging in just 3½ hours. Buyers get to choose between a sleek single-seater or the more versatile two-seater MEV-1 Pro SX.

The MEV-2 offers a lighter and more accessible option, delivering 5.4 hp, up to 80 km/h, and 70 km of range. It also uses dual ATL batteries (74 V, 30 Ah) with similar charging times.

Both models come with shared features that include 16-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels, telescopic front forks, rear monoshocks, a Combined Braking System (CBS) with dual hydraulic discs, full LED lighting, an LCD instrument panel, and a USB charging port. Melding practicality, style, and modern convenience.

Our connection to the Merdeka Day Parade stretches back nearly three decades. The Kriss 110, our pioneering model, was unveiled to the public during the 1996 National Day Parade, signaling the start of local motorcycle production.

Almost thirty years later, we return to that same stage, now as champions of electric vehicles with the MEV series. It is a full-circle moment: from internal combustion mopeds to sleek, zero-emission scooters. An evolution that perfectly frames our 30-year journey and renewed identity.
